Peter Fowler B.Eng

Originally from Manchester, England. I emigrated to Australia with my parents in 1969 and studied Electrical Engineering at Sydney University. In my second year at University I commenced work with the PMG as a Cadet Engineer and then worked for Telecom Australia / Telstra for about 20 years before moving to the IT Industry for a further 10 years. In the IT Industry I worked for Silicon Valley based Tandem Computers, Australian IBM Global Services and was Project Director for the contruction of the Australia wide Comindico Internet network. After that I worked for a couple of Australian software companies. Married in 1985 to Anne, we have a son, Christopher, who is a Psychologist and a daughter, Alison, who is a Casting Director. Alison, with a business partner, set up Chicken & Chips Casting Agency in Sydney. In retirement I and my wife have enojoyed teaching Seniors how to use Windows PCs at a voluntary organistaion called Computer Pals for Seniors - The Hills, peaking at a membership of over 600. I also started a small business called PC Repairs & Home Network Support to help residential customers with their home computers and networks which are so essental these days.
